Hamamatsu-jo Castle, commanding a view of the whole townThis is where Shogun Tokugawa Ieyasu moved in 1570, and stayed for 17 years until he moved again to Sumpu-jo Castle. In the 300 years of the Tokugawa Shogunate Regime, the beginning years were an ordeal, but the castle survived, therefore, its nickname is "a castle of success in life".
