Hamamatsu Museum of Musical InstrumentsThis is the first public museum of musical instruments ever built in Japan. At the three exhibition corners, which are divided into Europe, Japan, and Asia/Africa, visitors can listen to instrumental performances with headphones. At the live experience section, visitors are provided an opportunity to actually play the musical instruments. Hamamatsu Festival PavilionIn this pavilion, visitors can simulate the actual Hamamatsu Festival. Hamamatsu Science MuseumVisitors can learn six subjects (nature, universe, sound, light, energy, and electronics) while enjoying operating computers and actually touching the exhibits. This art museum is located in Hamamatsu-jo Castle Park. Their collection includes ukiyoe prints by Ando Hiroshige and traditional glass paintings of the 18th to 19th century. Also works by the artists related to Hamamatsu city are displayed.
