Uenotaira Heights

Uenotaira Heights lies at the middle of Mount Kenashi. Enveloped in nature, this is the perfect place for leisure activities during the spring, summer and fall seasons. Gregarious growths of skunk cabbage, a botanical garden, lakes and pastures dot the plains, making the environment very suitable for trekking.

From Togari Nozawa Onsen station take Shinshu Bus for Nozawa Onsen. Get off at the terminus (20 min. ride) and walk 15 min. to the gondola lift station of Nagasaka. Take a 14 min. ride from Nagasaka to Yamabiko station.

Unique athletic facilities such as the super slider with its 360 meter lane for sleds, plasti-snow ski slope, and mallet golf course make up this park. If the activities get you hungry, the outdoor barbecue center shall be at your service. Lunch menu includes beef, pork, yaki soba, and vegetables on the grill.

Lake Sutaka-ko Camp Grounds
