Specialties and Souvenirs

Wine

Shinshu wine made of fruit from the Kikyo-ga-hara soil. There are numerous wine companies that stick to traditional methods of wine-making. Concord, Niagara and Melroe grapes turn into beautiful wines. The Niagara, also known as the green gem, produces extraordinary wine.

Crampon Apple Pie

Shinshu apples are stewed in honey, mixed with bean paste, flavored with brandy and herbs, and wrapped in pie crust. This specialty has a mild taste and is not too sweet.

Western-style Confectionery Sharumu

Confectionery store located on the Gobara-kaido Road. Their homemade "Kurumi-no-ki" is one of the most favored items. It comes with a complimentary tanka verse card and is great for souvenir gifts.
