Tsuta-no Hosomichi Road
This was the main road in ancient times. In "The Tale of Ise" (a collection of essays describing everyday life), which was written in the Heian period (794 - 1185), Ariwarano Narihira wrote a poem about a travelers' feelings walking along this path. This road with a tunnel made of red bricks, which was completed in 1876 and another tunnel constructed in the beginning of the 20th century, is one of the great routes to enjoy leisurely hiking.

Strawberry Picking
In Ishigaki (stone wall) Strawberry Farm along the coast of Kuno-zan Beach facing Suruga Bay, you can enjoy strawberry picking. The strawberries in this farm grow fast in the earth stuffed between stone bricks so that they are exposed to a lot of sunshine beside some extra heat from the stones. Therefore they are just ripe and ready for nibbling on the spot. Strawberry picking season is between January and May.

Ume-ga-shima Camping Area
This camping area along the stream of Abe-kawa River contains ten different courses for field athletics and two tennis courts, making it a perfect family recreation site.
