Lake Zinzai-ko
Lake Zinzai-ko with a circumference of 5 kilometers is depicted in "Izumo Fudoki" (a book describing the natural features, culture and history of the region). Mt. Sanbe-san extending to the southwest direction of the lake, and a cluster of reeds and cattails at the lakeside contrast with the graceful lake to compose a pastoral scenery. The lake is also famous as a fishing spot for eel, carp, and striped mullet, where, on the weekends, you can see a lot of fishermen leisurely dropping their lines from the boats. At the lakeside are Koryo Onsen hot springs inns and kurhaus.
