Chibori Park

Kurashiki Chibori Park

This theme park, modeled after the original Chibori Park located in Copenhagen, the capital city of Denmark, was just opened on July 18, 1997. The original park in Copenhagen, with a 150-year history, is a beautiful garden park, where it is said that Hans Christian Andersen often visited to contemplate some new ideas about his fairy tales. Kurashiki Chibori Park took over the philosophy of the original park which remains to be a peaceful place for Danish citizens, thus emphasizing landscapes surrounded by green forests, flowers, and beautiful watersides. This is something unique about this park which is not found in other theme parks. Moreover, by following the policy of Denmark which has advanced social welfare programs, it is accommodating for senior citizens, children, and physically disabled people. Attractions, shops, dining facilities, theaters, and other amusement facilities are also substantial.
Admission fee adult 2,000 yen (+passport for 3,900 yen)/ It is recommended to call the Information Center (086-434-1111) prior, due to the change of opening schedules according to seasons and weekdays.
