Kikko-do
They sell Murasuzume, Kurashiki's cake of an established name. Murasuzume is a Japanese sweet made of eggs and sugar added to flour, baked with some sweet bean paste inside and folded in two. This is the most popular among the souvenirs from Kurashiki. At the front of the shop is a sales counter while at the back of the house is a tea cafe.

This steak house is under direct management of the Kurashiki International Hotel. The interior of the restaurant has been redesigned by reforming an old private house, creating a unique atmosphere. In addition to charcoal burned Okayama beef steak, a light meal is also available at lunch time.

Azumi
This home made soba (buckwheat noodles) restaurant was moved by Ohara Soichiro, a son of an entrepreneur, all the way from Shinshu (Nagano prefecture). Its dark color and chewy texture are characteristic of this soba. If you would like to appreciate the pure flavor of soba itself, mori-soba (soba served on a screen-bottomed vessel) or kake-soba (soba noodles in soup) are recommended.

This Japanese restaurant next to Green Palace was built by utilizing a 150-year old storehouse mansion. The interior generates folk art feelings with decorations of jingasa (soldier's hat)and matchlocks.
