Kousan Park and Its Historical BuildingsThis is a popular spot in the "Kyoto of Western Japan." The 5-storied Rurikohji Tower, a national treasure, is considered a representative building of the Ouchi period and stands as a symbol of the city. It is lit up at night, presenting a beautiful view. The Rurikohji Document Museum, the Chinryutei Inn, and the Rozandou Tea House also stand within this park. You should also walk on the stone slab pavement and hear how it sounds: like the chirping of a nightingale. ●10 minutes by bus from Yamaguchi Station, get off at the Prefectural Building, and then a 10-minute walk. Doshunji Temple, Where the Altar of Mohri Motonari Is EnshrinedThis temple was built by the lord Ouchi Motonari to pray for peace and is designated as a national treasure. Yuda Hot Spring, First Used by a White FoxThis hot spring was first discovered by a Buddhist monk who found a wounded white fox bathing in it 800 years ago. The alkali spring is gentle to the skin and smoothes it. This is the only hot spring on the ancient Sanyo Route, and many old inns and hotels line the street. ●3-minute walk from Yamaguchi Station on the JR Yamaguchi Line.
