Yamaguchi Special Places

Ichinosaka River

This river, which flows through the city, is the sight of beautiful cherry blossoms in spring and fireflies in early summer. The sight of the firefly on a summer's night is especially enchanting. This is a recommended place for strolling in the cool evening breeze. In other seasons, the riverside is lit up at night and is very romantic.

●"Firefly watching" is held every year around the first week of June.
