Chitose Salmon Aquarium

This aquarium is a museum of salmon located in the Chitose-shi Salmon Park. The main attraction is the underground observation room where you can see life at the bottom of the Chitose River. In the fall, you can watch salmon swim up the stream. The museum provides all kinds of information about the Chitose River through water tanks of various fishes, panel displays and computerized quiz games. You can enjoy salmon dishes at the adjoining restaurant.

Indian Water Mill

A device for catching salmon, this mill was modeled after the American Indian fishing mill. This mill which made its debut in 1896 is installed every year from the end of August through the end of November near the Salmon Aquarium. It has become the main attraction during the fall season.

Spring Farm
