Okano Shashin-kan (a photo Gallery) Okano Shashin-kan exhibits photography of Furano and Biei's rolling hills. The photographs were taken by the photographer, Atsumi Kenji. He caught many of the seasonal beauties of the hills in his work. You can purchase posters and post cards. Lavender Lavenders will be in full bloom from mid July to beginning of August. The lavenders will change their color to purple all over the fields. Asahi-ga-oka Koen Park This is where you will enjoy one of the superb views of Japan. This park is located on a hill so that you can look at the mountain ridges or look down upon the cities. In the spring time, 3,000 cherry trees will blossom and the park will be covered by its marvelous pink color. 10-min. taxi ride from Furano Station.
