Tempo-zan Harbor Village

This is a waterfront development area on a man-made island. Nanko (a southern port) has been growing as an international trading center while Hokko (a northern port) is planed to build the Universal Studio. Maishima, which will host the 2008 Olympics, is where new sporting facilities are being built. This is a highly recommended play spot where you can spend an entire day. At this complex, there are the Osaka Aquarium(see the photograph), which is considered to be one of the biggest aquariums in the world, the Tempo-zan Market-place and the departure point of the "Santa Maria" which offers cruises.
