Hidehiranuri (Lacquerware)

Heian culture which was established in the Oushuu district by the Fujiwara family brought forth high-quality craftsmanship, one of which is the Hidehira Lacquerware. Reinforced by plenty of varnish, the durable ware is suitable for daily use. The diamond-shaped gold-leaf pattern is the trademark of this ware which reflects the trend of the historic era. The mitsuwan (set of three bowls) style has kept its design through history and is highly regarded today as well.
